In another new pledge to live the life I want to live, I hope to actually start updating this here blog again. Isn't that how all long-time off blog posts start, though? We'll see.
Since we last met, I've moved into my full-time apartment on South Third Street. Apartment 5F, the number of Newman, is home for now. Thanks to some help from ellyn, the place is almost covered in fresh paint. Thanks to birthday money, I now own a couch and a bed. These are two very big purchases for someone who lived in a van for two months. The mattress is super firm, and my back thanks me every morning.
On the van front, Pam is resting on the street still, but as soon as a surly, I assume, trucker calls, she'll be on her way home to Oregon. Lucky girl.
On the job front, I've started to pick up freelance work while I wait for something full-time. Last week I started reviewing art galleries for a magazine called White Hot. My first article will be up on their Web site as soon as I get some pictures from the gallery.
Otherwise, I watch the Olympics and chill in Williamsburg. More to come, I assume.
